The world is heating up. Carbon dioxide levels are now 27 percent higher than at any point in the last 650,000 years, according to research into Antarctic ice cores published in Science. This is according to American Association for the Advancement of Science and Oregon State University

Here at JR's Comfortable Heat LLC, we have made it our mission in life to reduce Atmospheric CO2. We have studied Geothermal and Solar applications for Radiant Heating. We have installed two supplemental Geothermal Radiant Cooling Systems. Our biggest contribution has been in the field of Energy Efficiency for Heating Systems. Energy Efficiency is invisible and ignored in many cases. Proper monitoring is not being done and there is a huge lack of knowledge and research done by our experts today. As a Past Chairman of the Energy Efficiency Action Group for the Radiant Panel Association, I have learned a lot about Energy Efficiency in Heating Systems. As a Heating Contractor, we can do many different things to reduce CO2 output by reducing fuel usage. This means we can save you a lot of money in fuel bills!! On our radiant heating system design and installation, we can offer you government points to go towards your green building project.

As an inventor we have two important projects in the works that will save the world billions of dollars in fuel bills and greatly reduce CO2 emissions. Back in 2002 I discovered a huge gap in knowledge. No one could measure the Overall Efficiency of a heating system. I realized from my auto racing days that a proper comparison was very important to finding and making improvements. I realized that with the proper comparison of heating systems you would see a huge gain in efficiency. This would relate to a huge reduction of CO2 emissions and savings in fuel world wide. I developed a formula to calculate Overall Efficiency in Heating Systems. I am patent pending on the use of this formula in software.

In the year 2004 I revealed the Overall Efficiency project to the world. We applied for a Grant with the DOE but were turned down. I showed the project to the Energy Efficiency Action Group for the Radiant Panel Association. They loved the project and made me Chairman of the group on the spot. I spent two years developing the plan and tried to find a way to get DOE grant money. I ran into a big stumbling block in that the project didn't fit into the scope of solicitations they were seeking. I tried to figure out how to get people at the DOE to create a new solicitation for the project but got nowhere. The RPA soon lost interest because of lack for activity and funding. I am still interested in forming a team again in the near future. The project has gone on the back burner to the project listed in the paragraph below. We are now working on a new project with a faster and more immediate impact . This project was started by the inventor John Cockerill. In 2006 I came on board as his Licensing Agent. I also have been helping out in the design of the control acting as a Hydronics Applications Engineer. He has a patent that issued back in 2001. He developed an algorithm that reads the thermostat activity and adjusts the water temperature up or down based on the heatload of the room. He built and developed 29 controls that are in the field today. The control produces similar results as outdoor reset except it accomplishes the task much easier. It doesn’t need an outside bulb and can work with any existing thermostat. The control has the capability of being installed in less then two hours. This will produce an installed price for the control that is much less then current outdoor reset controls. This will broaden the market place for such controls and have a huge impact on energy savings. This will help to reduce the impact of global warming. We are currently talking to a few companies that have a high level of interest. I am very excited about this project because it has the ability to hit the market quickly.
